When we were in Banff, there was a woman living near the train tracks who would wave at the trains passing by her house. So the staff asked her if she would like to be a guest on the train.
She was thrilled to be asked. After all, she never missed a train and had lived there for over 20 years.
Her dog always spotted the trains and she would stand on her front porch to wave them at. She was a true legend!
There are two levels of service on the train, Silver Leaf and Gold Leaf. The former is more expensive but you’ll have a better view from your seat and enjoy a higher level of service. The latter is less expensive but doesn’t include as many amenities, such as a lounge car and a dining car.
